HEY, I'M HEATHER

Welcome! I’m Heather, the creative force behind Heather's Photography Company, based in the charming town of Kernersville, North Carolina. When I'm not behind the camera, I'm enjoying life with my wonderful husband and our spirited 5-year-old, embracing the little moments that make life so special.

My artistic journey began at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), where I earned a BFA in Theatrical Scenic Painting in 2014. That experience ignited my passion for creativity and led me on a cross-country adventure, painting everything from backdrops to props for a variety of theatrical productions—highlights include working on Skrillex’s Halloween tour! After a year of traveling, I returned to North Carolina and took on projects like designing the set for The Prop Shop at the Kaleideum Children’s Museum in Winston-Salem and creating murals for various clients.

In 2014, my love for photography blossomed, and I began offering family photography services. Juggling painting and photography projects was a blast, and soon I found myself drawn to capturing life’s most beautiful moments. From engagements and weddings to newborns and pets, each photo is a chance to preserve something meaningful.

A pivotal moment in my career came when I dove into wedding photography. In my first year, I had the privilege of capturing 98 weddings, and this shift helped my business truly flourish.

More recently, I’ve expanded into Real Estate Photography. With my scenic painting background, I bring a unique, artistic touch to showcasing homes. It’s been a joy to work with over 30 real estate agents across North Carolina, and I’m excited to collaborate with even more in the future.

What drives me most is the opportunity to freeze special moments in time—whether it's a joyful family gathering or the stunning details of a home. I’m thrilled to be part of these stories and can’t wait to see where my creative journey takes me next!

Let’s make some magic together!
